About Me

My photo
Hello everyone! Starting an Etsy store and selling my arts and crafts has been something I've been wanting to do for quite awhile now, and I'm finally taking that first step! My true passion is creating art, specifically painting. I love acrylics, but I've been experimenting with watercolor more recently. I adore the dreamy, abstract look watercolors can give to a painting, so I'd like to try to do more of that. Unfortunately, finding the time to set up the drop cloths and all my paint supplies, plus shutting out my two very curious cats can be a challenge. But I still have that itch to create- so I've been browsing pinterest for ideas of fun crafts I can create and I have a few ideas brewing. :) I have lots more to share, so I expect this About section to be updated frequently. Be sure to check back! All the best, Cyndi

A Room Of One's Own: Left of Center Art Gallery

This all-female exhibit draws inspiration from Virginia Woolf’s 1929 feminist essay of the same name, with its central theme that women need space to create in a world traditionally dominated by men. Professional artists from LA and Las Vegas will showcase their work in a diverse range of mediums, from video to installation art. Prominent writers, including local poet Vogue Robinson and journalists published in the Los Angeles Times and Huffington Post, will display pieces relevant to feminism.

You can meet the more than 20 creators at a reception on January 28 from noon to 3 p.m. Select dates throughout the exhibition’s run will also feature art and writing workshops, motivational talks from Dr. Karmen Smith and Dr. Karen Laing and readings. Additionally, Left of Center’s first exhibition of 2017 kicks off its 20-year anniversary as a nonprofit.

Puppetry of the P*nis - Erotic Heritage Museum

Puppetry of the P*nis, "The Australian Art of Genital Origami," is a play performed internationally featuring the theatrical contortion of the male genitalia into various positions along with comedic narration. The act was first performed on the international stage at the 1998 Melbourne International Comedy Festival in Australia. The show involves two nude men who bend, twist, and fold their genitalia into various shapes. The show has appeared in Australia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, Europe, Canada, the United States, South Africa and Argentina.

The Las Vegas show's two hilarious stars awe and shock audiences by turning their manhood into "art," such as their signature creation, "The Hamburger." The show runs Thursday through Sunday at 8 p.m. inside the Jewel Box in the Erotic Heritage Museum.
